Now with seeker missiles! (not very powerful ones)
I added some particles, camera shakes and organised everything.
I started this already last sunday, but did not finish. But as it is the last day of February, I added bullets and gameplay and submitted it to One Game a Month.
I spent most of my childhood with games like these. I have been wanting to make my own since then :D
I caught some pretty ones from my linespiral demo :3
It is fun to see how it moves and wait for that moment you want to snap :3
Maybe a time slowdown feature would be nice.
Update to Version 1.1 or something. The random algorithm is now (more) quaranteed to produce something that is visible and also randomizes the amount of patterns.
Press F5 to randomize a new kaleidoscopic thingie
I am working on a new tiny demo. The final one will have more moving lines but this version was also kind of cool. I assign 5 points to the borders of the canvas and draw a line between them, skipping one point. And moving all the points along the edge.
Link to the actual demo. Whee.
I got an PS/2 - USB adapter for my old keyboard and put some stickers on it too. Now I can take it to school and use it instead the flat, senseless, Dell stock keyboards they have there.
Skrolli is a finnish nerdism magazine, I think they are super cool!
This tiny demo did not turn out with all the features that I dreamed up, but it is still fun. Click here to see the demo in movement.
(I tied to but simple lighting there, but it did not work out. Also all the squares are independent, so they could do stuff, but maybe in next version)
While doing this I also made a class for Color and Vector3 and hopefully I can reuse them later.
