I should be doing shaders, but I wanted to refresh my tiny modelling skills also. I looked at the Blender modeling basics tutorial and found the tools I knew from 3ds Max.
Then I started making an elephant :3

I am making a 4 vs 4 football game for the Autonomous Interactive programming course.
At the moment the players can dribble the ball towards enemy goal and avoid enemy players. And when they get close enough to goal with the ball, they shoot the ball towards it.
They are so cute :3
The enemies are not quite active yet and nobody passes the ball and mmm. Lots to do.
After a day’s work, the mixing finally works and I can start multiple sound instances to play together.
It even draws an oscilloscopish graph of what is going on. I could make it more pretty :3
Wowowowoo, my program is actually playing audio.
Had some problems with all this byte- business. but maybe I figured it out.
Next up is mixing multiple sounds together.
On this course we are using the WaveOut functions from Windows. The most basic thing available.
Today’s schoolwork is programming a bee hive simulator based on one made by our teacher Dino Dini. Here is a video about the beehive.
- I need to examine the code and write out how it works.
- I need to make the simulation tunable with adjustable functions, that affect how a bee chooses its role.
The simulation seems interesting, let’s see what is under the hood…
Audio programming continues
Thanks for a wav format specification, it was quite easy to read the data. But there was something odd. Even though I wrote signed integers, I would get values between 0 and 65535, like with an unsigned. But when I changed them manually around during loading, things started to look right.
My visualisation is not that great and cannot be zoomed, but I think it will do for now.
I survided the Ludum Dara and the flea market madness of Queen’s day in Utrecht.
Time to get back to schoolwork. On the Audio Programming course our first assignment is to write a file reader that understands 16-bit Mono WAV files.
File reading is a new thing for me, but at least I got the file open and see that it is indeed a WAV file. But then there are smiling faces and all that binary data I need to sort out and store to memory.
And when that is done, my program should draw a beautiful waveform on the screen. Looking towards to that. :3

this is what heterophobia would look like if it was real. if you believe that heterophobia is a real thing that exists, please watch this because you will see that it simply doesn’t exist, that it never has and never will.
tbh I think everyone should watch this anyway because it’s very clever and very powerful

I cried so much, this is so meaningful and powerful, please watch.
there are no other words to describe this video except amazing and powerful. please watch it - its a eye opener———————————-
This is worth the time of day. I consider myself pretty unmovable but this had me bawling.————————-
So incredibly powerful.

It breaks my heart that anyone has to live this way
